Tracks
This is the first song I recorded playing soprano saxophone. It’s a reinterpretation of a classic Christian hymn written in the late 1800s. This track features a vocal clip by Patricia Edwards that I sampled with her permission. This may find its way onto the album, but I definitely need to retrack the sax parts.
One afternoon, I was watching TV, and this bassline got in my head. I had always wanted to put a clip of MLK in a song. This was the perfect opportunity.
This song was written by my friend Ancap Tim and featured on his album, “The State’s Just a Mafia.” I asked him if I could do a dance remix of his song Wheels of War, and he was down.
This song is a mashup of Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump debating walls. I like this track a lot, but it needs to be remixed and mastered.
I created this track when I was learning Logic Pro. I think it holds up pretty well for an experiment.
This song is built around the chorus of a 1920’s bluegrass/gospel song by McVay and Johnson. Folks who listened to my GodArchy podcast will recognize it as the bumper music.
I wrote this song just a few weeks into the COVID lockdowns. I knew then that it was going to be a disaster. It features Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, or Lil’ Andy as I like to call him. This is another one that I would like to remix and remaster.
I don’t fancy myself a vocalist. At some point, I will rework this and find somebody who can do the lyrics justice.
Here’s another one where I tried to sing. I love the lyrics of this song. Yes, it’s dark. It’s supposed to be. War is dark. At some point, I’ll revisit and rework this as well.
